Rename
Rename is a design exhibition that questions the idea of standards and measurement. The exhibition uses a visual language taken from measuring tools. Illustration, collage and photography are combined, and four basic shapes from a triangle set are drawn and assembled into butterfly forms. A long roll of paper works like a tape measure, so visitors can choose or make a collage section that matches their own character and take it away in a file bag. Transparent PVC cloth and roll paper are used for the display.
Rename Design Exhibition by Xue Jiang was selected as an exceptional example of communication design by the A' Design Award. Rename Design Exhibition won the Iron A' Design Award in Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design in 2021. The A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade which celebrates exceptional design of logos, posters, infographics, brochures, packaging designs, business cards, book covers, billboards and more.
